Transponder Key Replacement

The vast majority of modern cars use transponder keys: keys that contain a small electronic chip programmed to communicate with your vehicle's immobiliser system. If your transponder key is lost, damaged, or has stopped being recognised by your car, Access Achieved can supply, cut, and program a replacement on-site across South Wales.

A transponder key contains a microchip that transmits a unique code to your vehicle's engine control unit when inserted in the ignition. If the code matches, the immobiliser disengages and the car starts. If the chip is missing, damaged, or not correctly programmed, the vehicle will not start, even if the key physically fits the lock.

You may need a new transponder key if your original has been lost or stolen, if the chip inside has failed or been damaged, if your car starts intermittently or not at all despite the key turning, or if you want a fully programmed spare for security.
